Tuatha Dé Danaan – The Sidhe
The Faerie Folk
- “The Goth Fairy” by Iris Chen
The Tuatha Dé Danaan, also known as the Sidhe (pronounced “Shee”) are a race of magical beings that were sent into exile after losing a war to the Milesians when they invaded Ireland around 1600 B.C.
Said to live in a world separate from ours, the Faeries can take the form of humans when traveling to our world. They often appear as a glowing ball of light drifting in lonely places. They can become invisible, fly, and can vanish at will.
Faeries live in Tir Na Nog – The Land of Eternal Youth.
They control the power of dreams, and help us manifest the reality we see around us.
